STAFF & leadership
Randy Quate is a lifelong Quaker who grew up at Glenwood Friends Meeting in Greensboro, NC. Jesus Christ “spoke to his condition” in 1981, and he felt called to pastoral ministry a few years later. Randy was Senior Pastor of Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting in Trinity, NC from 1990 through 2011. He assumed the position of Superintendent of North Carolina Yearly Meeting in January 2012. He left that position in June of 2014 and will serve as the Interim Pastor of Deep Creek Friends Meeting starting in July of 2014.
Periodically Randy also serves as Assistant Professor of Quaker Studies at Carolina Graduate School of Divinity in Greensboro, NC. Randy has degrees from John Wesley College in High Point, NC, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL, and is finishing his Doctor of Ministry degree at George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, OR. Randy is a frequent speaker at retreats, revivals and conferences, and has had articles printed in Quaker Life. Randy loves to play golf and root for the Tarheels. He loves to spend time with his beautiful daughters Ragan and Haley.
Walter Shore - Clerk

Walter Shore has served as the Meeting Clerk since 2011. Walter directs the Bell Choir and Choir of DCFM. He has taught the lower elementary Sunday School classes for 15+ years. Walter also serves on the Yearly Meeting Nominating Committee. He is married to Priscilla Shore.
Jared Warden - Youth Director
Jared has served as the Director of Youth and Jr. Youth Ministries at Deep Creek since January of 2012. Prior to this time, he volunteered his time with the Youth and Young Adults of Deep Creek for many years. Jared has served as Chair and member of the Christian Education Committee, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee. He currently serves on the Young Adult Committee of the NC Yearly Meeting of Friends. His passion is ensuring that Youth know what it means to be saved, achieve a personal relationship with Jesus and live a life on fire for Christ! In his spare time, he enjoys the beach, hiking, fishing and riding ATV's.
Angie Brendle -Children's Director
Angie has been on staff as Director of Children's Ministry for almost two years,volunteering in the children/youth departments many years before. Angie currently serves as president of the Quaker Young Women Missionary circle. Angie is also involved in bell choir,adult
choir,and duet. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering in the Yadkin County Schools, cooking,reading and the mountains.Angie has a passion for serving Christ and leading the young to know him as theirpersonal Savior .
She is married to Jay Brendle and they one son, Jacob Brendle .
